a scary thought

ok, labourers at work. but smell something fishy?

& here's the bigger picture

yup, just one unfortunate step back & you fall to your death. ofcourse it's illegal to carry out construction without necessary safety measures. apparently though some construction companies have no regard to the lives of their workers as long as the job gets done. come on, this is disgraceful. every now & then u hear a labourer fall from a site but still these companies fail to take heed. obviously what you see above is the riskiest situation of all. these guys are really on the edge. does it possibly get any scarier than this?

back in peace

i broke my personal record.

the record being going the longest without updating my blog.

ok, you can keep your applause down now. thanks

in honest terms, it just was rather impractical for me to sit, concentrate & put out something. something good. let's just say i went through a certain phase. a phase of preoccupation, distraction & mental blocks.

i sincerely hope i'll now be able to do what i used to do & love.

anywayz i express my heartfelt condolences to the family & friends of all victims of the recent youth violence which culminated in the tragic death of a 14 year old boy. one would've only feared the worst by seeing the boy's dismal photo in the paper on a breathing machine face covered in bandages & doctors conceding hope right from the start. absolutely unimaginable.

it's outrageous what was happening in our tiny little town. bloody violence in broad daylight in the open on a daily basis. slashing with knives & swords, pounding with bats & iron rods in front of 'spectators' who were only concerned with photographing the moment on their phones.

what relief to see the chaos dying down following the extensive patrolling on the streets. unsettled business amongst gangs is held up for now but is this really a solution? how long will the patrolling continue?

it all goes back to the Ishar murder incident where the suspects only turned themselves in recently. where were they all this time? it's insane to know a bunch of alleged murderers who were apparently roaming freely in male' had to hand over themselves to the authorities after months. you can't help but presume the involvement of top level protection for the thugs.

it's late. very late. two murders in 5 months & several several more deeply wounded. a vicious cycle which only looks set to continue amidst the air of conspiracies, uncertainties & ineffective handling by the authorities. a daunting prospect...

This is something that seriously disturbs me. I just don’t get it. It’s insane. I cant be polite about it. it’s utterly & absolutely ridiculous.

Ok, I was chatting with a friend of my mine a little while ago & I said something rather sweet.

Background: rewind to a coupla years ago when we had a tiny fling which somehow didn’t materialise into a full-fledged relationship & she’s now dating the guy who was next in line at that time.

Ok, I was chatting with this girl a little while ago & I said something rather sweet.

She replied, 'hey be careful, my bf signs in on my account too'

I thought what the f***? Your bf chats on your account?? How frigging freaky is that! I’m glad you warned me...

Well, she says she’s cool with it cos she’s faithful & he wouldn’t ‘catch her’ however much he probes into her account. But that’s beside the frigging point.

Needless to say we’ve hardly chatted since then. Even if I see ‘her’ online I couldn't be bothered to say hi. ofcourse i can ask every time, 'hey is that u or yr bf?' well, that’s not a very bright idea, is it.

She’s a good friend of mine, absolutely adorable & we share perfect chemistry. MSN was the only means of interaction we had resorted to since the good old times. Well, not frequently but every now & then.

She did hint before that he was quite controlling but that’s just way too much. That’s a whole lot more than jealousy, rather insecurity & mistrust bordering on neurosis.

Well, most guys are possessive but it’s YOUR personal account for heaven’s sake!

Ok one might hand it out to someone you trust, maybe out of courtesy or out of some emergency or obligation or something but do you really really want anyone else to keep track of your personal communication? You feel comfortable with that? Is that really necessary? & do you want them to chat on your behalf???

An ex-gf of mine said she gave her password to a close office mate. Well, that guy was into her for a long long while & I suspect he’d have always kept her account under surveillance.

Beats me.

I believe this is a frequent occurrence & i now have to make sure with my online friends whether anyone else uses their account. gosh, i hate having to do this.

It’s your privacy afterall. deserves a little more respect, don’t you think?
